Space Searches with a Quantum Robot

چکیده
Quantum robots are described as mobile quantum computers and ancillary systems that move in and interact with arbitrary environments. Their dynamics is given as tasks which consist of sequences of alternating computation and action phases. A task example is considered in which a quantum robot searches a space region to find the location of a system. The possibility that the search can be more efficient than a classical search is examined by considering use of Grover’s Algorithm to process the search results. For reversible searches this is problematic for two reasons. One is the removal of entanglements generated by the search process. The other is that even if the entanglement problem can be avoided, the search process in 2 dimensional space regions is no more efficient than a classical search. However quantum searches of higher dimensional space regions are more efficient than classical searches. Reasons why quantum robots are interesting independent of these results are briefly summarized.

Mobile Robot Online Motion Planning Using Generalized Voronoi Graphs
In this paper, a new online robot motion planner is developed for systematically exploring unknown environ¬ments by intelligent mobile robots in real-time applications. The algorithm takes advantage of sensory data to find an obstacle-free start-to-goal path. It does so by online calculation of the Generalized Voronoi Graph (GVG) of the free space, and utilizing a combination of depth-first an...
متن کاملA New Method of Mobile Robot Navigation: Shortest Null Space
In this paper, a new method was proposed for the navigation of a mobile robot in an unknown dynamic environment. The robot could detect only a limited radius of its surrounding with its sensors and it went on the shortest null space (SNS) toward the goal. In the case of no obstacle, SNS was a direct path from the robot to goal; however, in the presence of obstacles, SNS was a space around the r...

متن کاملTask-space Control of Electrically Driven Robots
Actuators of robot operate in the joint-space while the end-effect or of robot is controlled in the task-space. Therefore, designing a control system for a robotic system in the task-space requires the jacobian matrix information for transforming joint-space to task-space, which suffers from uncertainties. This paper deals with the robust task-space control of electrically driven robot manipula...
متن کاملDiscrete time robust control of robot manipulators in the task space using adaptive fuzzy estimator
This paper presents a discrete-time robust control for electrically driven robot manipulators in the task space. A novel discrete-time model-free control law is proposed by employing an adaptive fuzzy estimator for the compensation of the uncertainty including model uncertainty, external disturbances and discretization error. Parameters of the fuzzy estimator are adapted to minimize the estimat...
